Many
years ago we only offered one product; African
Shooting Sticks.
We set out to make the best ones possible and the rest of the business
developed from that first, initial product. The main difference between our product and everyone else's is in the connector. On ours, it is the strongest part; on everyone else's it is the weakest part. As a result of the
success of our original offering, we have expanded our shooting
stick line to include Bi-pod
Shooting Sticks and Seasoned Hunter
(monopod) Staffs. Please note that every model can be ordered
in a take-down

Our Seasoned Hunter Staffs are a great case in point. We took what most used to see as a functional piece and turned it into a thing of beauty. You can order them to length with burr or main beam fallow deer antler tops (rifle rests) in a variety of domestic and exotic woods that include African Bubinga and African Mahogany. Our African Shooting Sticks and Bi-pod Shooting sticks offer an even greater variety of exotic wood choices.
There are other African Shooting Sticks on the market but they cannot match the functionality, quality, beauty or rigidity we offer. Please go to our “Frequently Asked Shooting Stick Questions” section where we give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.
The uniqueness of all three models make them the perfect gift. Please note, the Platinum Grade versions now give you the option of having the lucky recipient’s name engraved on the connectors. All of our Platinum Grade sticks are available in multiple sizes (or made-to-order lengths on the Seasoned Hunter Staff) so everyone can get a pair that fits them just right.
Our customers have used them to take all manner of game in dozens of different countries. Whether they were going after moose in the wet swamps of Canada or Gemsbok in the featureless Kalahari, they have performed flawlessly. You can see Craig Buddington and Ivan Carter put them through their paces on the "Hornady's Africa" TV show on the Sportsman's Channel. If you watch “Under Wild Skies” you have seen Tony Makris use them in Africa. If it is SCI’s “Expedition Safari” with Mike Rogers, they traveled with him during the last three seasons to several far flung hunting grounds.
No product like them has received such critical acclaim from PH's or the Gun Press. Be sure to go to the Product Reviews to read what some of the best known writers in the industry had to say about them and many of our other products. Jim Carmichel, the Shooting Editor of Outdoor Life and a veteran of over 40 African Safaris said, “They are the best I have ever seen or used.”
In the hunting estates of Europe, Stalking Staffs were meticulously crafted by hand and passed down from one generation to another in very much the same way a favorite rifle still is today…..as a way to carry on the hunting tradition and provide a link to those who experienced the same thrill of the hunt previously. Our pieces carry on that same tradition. Every one is made by hand and built to last several lifetimes. Get yours today and start building memories for tomorrow.
"The African Shooting Sticks from Sporting Wood Creations are the best
made. They
are extremely steady, well conceived and executed, with unique features
not found on sticks from other makers. Practice with shooting sticks
is essential, and hunting with the set you own and with which you
have practiced is common sense --these break down and fit in the
travel case with my rifles. We recommend Sporting Wood Creations'
shooting sticks to all of our clients."
